AIM:To investigate the transformation of YS2-2 microorganism to ginsenosides; Then, assay the execution of fermentation of ginsenosides when they kill anticancer cells by MTT method. Investigate the effect on the sarcoma180 bearing in mice treated by fermentation of ginsenosides. Finally, review the protective of the fermentation products on APAP induced acute liver injury on mice. METHODS:In this paper, we transformed the ginsenoside with the YS2-2 for 4 days. The fermentation products tested with TLC and HPLC method. This study was to investigate the fermentation of ginsenosides with different concentration(200μg/mL,100μg/mL,50μg/mL,25μg/mL) to cervical cancer cells using in vitro MTT assay chemosensitivity test. The antitumor effect of fermentation of ginsenosides on the S180 bearing in mice was evaluated by tumor weight, spleen weight and thymus weight. And then we gave the fermented ginsenoside to the mice, which injured by APAP, by O.P. Test the content of AST and ALT in serum as well as the effects of SOD and GSH level changes in the mouse liver. RESULTS: After transforming, the content of Rg3 raised obviously and a small quantity of compound K. The inhibition ratio of fermentation of ginsenosides on Hela with different concentration were 29.48%. 31.65%,34.53%,68.22%respectively. And the inhibition ratio of the drug on S180 were 53.03%,34.51%,27.67%respectively. Finally, the fermentation products could reduce the content of ALT, AST in serum of acute liver injury, and the SOD, GSH levels are also improved in liver. In particular, the fermentation of middle concentration has the most significant effect. CONCLUSION: We found that the YS2-2 can transform the ginsenosides in vitro. And fermentation of ginsenosides could inhibit the Hela growth, also the s180 tumor. Meanwhile, we also did the experience that the transformation product whether can protect the liver injured by APAP. We suggest that it has a protective effect on the APAP induced acute liver injury on mice. The data is the evidence that the transformation of ginsenoside can induce the apoptosis.
