Integrated Research On The Prepared Decoction Pieces Of Chinese Materia Madica Of Processing Factories And Hospital Pharmacy In Guangzhou

We made investigations on the literatures about processing drugs of Chinese Materia Medica to get informations of the research and development of the processing drugs. And then we made surveys and statistics to the processing drugs collected in the Chinese pharmacopeia (2005, Section One) and those provided in the processing factories and used in the dispensaries of hospitals. Besides, we carried out experiment on drugs with different process to study the influence of processing on the drugs' components. We expect that our research can make help to improve the condition of drug processing recently by making some useful suggestions.By retrieving the literatures about drugs processing of Chinese Materia Medica, we drew a conclusion to the problems and developments of it and got basic imformations about it. This can help us to make further research.We made classification to the processing drugs collected in the Chinese pharmacopeia (2005, Section One) and made statistics on it after looking over the Chinese pharmacopeia. Then discuss on some drugs different with the traditional theory according to the research reports in the literatures.After the surveys mentioned above, we inquired into the processing drugs provided by the processing factories and those used in the dispensaries of hospitals so we can find out the problem exists and its reasons. And we put forward with suggestions and methods.To study the influence of the processing on the components of the drugs, we chose Fructrs Amomi and Fructrs Amomi Rotundus for experiment. Extract the essential oil and analyze its components by GC/MS and compare the differences of the extraction rate, main components and their content. And then discuss on the importance of the processing to drugs'effect.The results of the investigation and experiment show that processing of drugs is important to drugs'components and its clinic effects. But many problems still exist. For example, the standard is not unification, some processing method is not reasonable, the research is too simple, and some drugs provided by the factories are different with the Chinese pharmacopeia. Some apothecaries often neglect the processing such as pounding some drugs to pieces. But the experiments show that it's quite important to the extraction rate and the extraction time of the drugs' components and it will also make influence to their clinic effect.So we must think much of the processing of the drugs and do something to make it standardization. At the same time, reinforce the management and supervisement. And make professional training to the staff to enhance their skills and professional consciousness. These may help to the processing of drugs and ensure that the drugs will make effect in clinic.
