Objective:To investigate the clinical characteristics of the patients with Vascular Cognitive Impairment of no dementia(VCIND).Subjects:Twenty-one patients of VCIND,15 patients of CVD, and 22 normal controls were included in this study. Methods:The study variables included the demographic characters, vascular risk factors, laboratory parameters, neuropsychological test and the brain MRI scan. The neuropsychological test included:mini-mental state examination(MMSE), trail making test(TMT), Stroop Color Words Test(C WT), Verbal fluency test(VFT), clock drawing test(CDT) and so on. Results:The scores on general cognition, attention, executive function, and language in the VCIND group were significantly different than those in other two groups(P<0.05); Scores of white matter lesions were significantly higher in VCIND compared to other groups. Conclusions This study suggested that the VCIND group were significantly worse on general cognitive, executive function, attention and language. White matter lesions were independent risk factors to vascular cognitive impairment of no dementia.
