There're many characteristics for gastric cancer including asympomatic, recurrent inclination, high morbidity. To discuss how to use tumor markers properly in gastric diagnosis,we contrast the sensitivity, the specificity of single and combined tumor makers. We discuss the relationship between the tumor makers and the pathologic types, the tissue differentiationMethodsThe serum levels of tumor markers were detected in patients with gastric cancer confirmed by pathology. We contrast the sensitivity, specificity of single and combined tumor markers. We use t-test by SPSS while calculating the means.ResultsCA724 has the highest sensitivity with 30.14%,and CA724>CA199>CEA >CA125.When it comes to the combination, CA724+CA199 is the highest with 44.52%,and CA724+CA199+CA125 with 47.26%,equal to the CA724+CA199 +CA125+CEA.CA724 has a relationship with the pathologic type while others has little meaning. All the tumor markers make no contribution to the tissue differentiation.ConclusionsThe sensitivity of combined tumor markers with promote significantly. But as the highest level is under 50%,we should give it a completed consideration with clinical symptoms, radiology test while making the diagnosis. CA724 has a relationship with the pathologic type while others are meaningless.
