objectives: To study the clinical features of Guillain-Barrésyndrome (GBS) and further discuss the treatment and prognosis.Method :We retrospectively analysis the original data of 333 GBS patients admited to the department of neurology in the first hospital of Jilin University during Apr. 2000 and Mar. 2010. We summarize the clinical characteristics of 333 GBS cases and divided 311 patients into mild type, medium type, gravis type according to the patient`s condition. In addition,we also devided each type into Dexamethasone therapy group, immunoglobulin therapy group, combination group of Dexamethasone and immunoglobulin and general treatment group. At last, we compared the improvement of four groups' treatment in each type. it can help us to find relatively most suitable treatment to the patients of each type.Result:The causes and clinical features of GBS were complex. For mild type patients, any kind of treatment is reasonable.General treatment is the most appropriate for mild type patients .Moreover, for medium type patients, both Dexamethasone and Immunoglobulin had a positive effect. The combination group didn`t show more effects than single-use. Conclusion: The clinical characteristics of GBS were similar to that reported in other countries.Gereral treatment is adequate to mild type GBS patients,as well as Dexamethasone and Immunoglobulin performed almost equal effect in the patients of medium type. The combination of the two treatment didn`t show additional benefit. Most GBS patients had a good prognosis.
