Food safety problem has developed into the problem extensively paid close attention. The problem threatens seriously for the health of common people. We have paid heavy price especially on the event of milk powder with three-deer brand in 2008. It was demonstrated that melamine has the carcinogenesis through the animal experiment of acute toxicity, subacute toxicity, subchronic toxicity and chronic toxicity. International Cancer Research Organization of World Health Organization also has pointed out melamine has the carcinogenesis. In the present study, the child patients with urinary system disease suffered from milk powder with three-deer brand in some hospital of Daqing city were followed up long term and investigated.ObjectiveThe State Council of P. R. of China announced the expense on diagnose and treatment of children used for the milk powder containing melamine is not charged after the occurrence on the event of milk powder with three-deer brand, and standardized the science diagnosis and treatment procedure for child patients used for the milk powder containing melamine through organized special technique. In this condition, some hospital of Daqing city carried out screening diagnosis and medical treatment on child patients used for the milk powder containing melamine of padial region. In the present study, the characters of the urinary system disease in child patients suffered from milk powder with three-deer brand were investigated and analyzed to provide the relative rationalization proposal for the prevention and cure of these child patients. Materials and methods1. The urinary system in 3816 children used for the milk powder containing melamine were investigated with hypersound meter in some hospital of Daqing city from september, 2008 to the beginning of 2009 for understanding the incidence of disease, the age distribution, the associativity with edible milk powder species and the sex constitution in the urinary system of children used for the milk powder with three-deer brand in the western region of Daqing city through using questionnaire descended by Health Department of Heilongjiang province.2. The diagnostic criteria of child patients used for the milk powder containing melamine was on the basis of the proposal of urinary system concrement diagnosis and treatment in infant and young children related with milk powder with three-deer brand published by Ministry of Health, P. R. of China. Every item examinations include milk feeding history, clinical manifestations, laboratory examinations, physical diagnostics examinations and color Doppler diasonography examination and so on.3. Ultrasonic diagnostic criteria: The renal pelvis and calices showed≥4 mm clump strong echo in many cross-section with and without sound shadow, diagnosing renal calculus. There was obstruction as pyelocaliectasis developed. The renal calculus can involve in two side integrating system and ureters. The renal calculus not detected B ultrasound of urinary system was as screening negative.4. The questionnaires were arranged. The questionnaire investigation Exce1 database was established. The investigation data were entered and checked by two persons to cross each other to ensure data accurate.5. Statistical method: The data were entered with Exce1 database, and analyzed with SAS8.02 statistical software.The measurement data were described by M±Q. The hypothesis test was adopted with rank sum test. The enumeration data were described by constituent ratio. The hypothesis test was adopted withχ~2 test and Fisher exact propability.α= 0.05 was done as the size of test. ResultsThe urinary system in 3816 children used for the milk powder containing melamine was investigated in some hospital of Daqing city. The visiting children mainly centered in 24– 36 months older group, accounting 75.79% of visiting children. The sex ratio of male and female children was 1.19 : 1. Totally, the disease incidence rate of male and female child patients was not significant difference; but the rate of male was higher than that of female in 24– 36 months older group, and the age of onset in male was earlier than that in female. The ratio of renal calculus was the high (70.00%), then hydronephrosis (23.33%) in damage type in the urinary system of child patients.The ratios of ureterectasia and kidney integrating system were lower (3.33%), and the damage type of male and female child patients basically was identical. The children fed with A milk powder from the category used the visiting children were maximum (44.16%), next B milk powder (24.34%); the children fed with both milk powders exceeded over half number (68.5%). The children fed with milk powder without three-deer brand (85.95%) largely exceeded those with three-deer brand (14.05%). The incidence of urinary system disease related with the brands of milk powder from the relationship between the category used for milk powder and disease incidence rate. The disease incidence of children used with three-deer brand was higher than that without three-deer brand. The results suggest that the urinary system calculus caused for milk powder with three-deer brand containing highly melamine was easy. The incidence of child patients within 2 years older used for the milk powder containing melamine in the Western region of Daqing city was lower than that of internal child patients, but opposite in > 2– 3 years older group. The calculus incidence of children in different regions may be distinct. Conclusion1. Totally, the disease incidence rate of male and female child patients was not significant difference; but the rate of male was higher than that of female in 24– 36 months older group, and the age of onset in male was earlier than that in female.2. The ratio of renal calculus was the high, and the damage type of male and female child patients basically was identical.3. The incidence of urinary system disease related with the brands of milk powder. The disease incidence of children used with three-deer brand was higher than that without three-deer brand. The more melamine in milk powder contains, the larger exposes, the higher disease incidence rate occurs, the graver disease condition develops.4. The disease incidence in the children used for milk powder with melamine related with their age, and the smaller the age, the larger the risk. The age of onset in the incidence of child patients in the Western region of Daqing city was higher than that of internal child patients.
