Linux is a open-sourced operation system with the characteristics of small kernel, strong function, stable operation and robust system. It can be customized according to application and supports up to tens of CPU chips. It has a large number of development tools and the number has been increasing. These tools provide a good development environment for embedded system. So Linux can act as a good development platform for embedded equipment.Human physiological parameters monitoring system can process and transport user's physiological parameters timely and accurately. In recent years, as people concern more about their own health, many companys begin to develop Human physiological parameters monitoring system.This paper designs a human physiological parameters monitoring system based on embedded Linux. The functions of the system include the acquisition, encryption and real-time transmission of physiological parameters.The system is based on S3C2410 and TC35i GSM module, which is respectively produced by Samsung and Siemens. The operation system is Eembeded linux.This paper designs the transmission fromat of physiological parameters according to the characteristics of physiological parameters and the transmission mode. Then it introduces the key technologies: the implementation of the short message service and DES algorithm. In the realization of SMS sending and receiving programs, the main work includes Linux serial port communication programming, 7bit encoding and decoding processing, 8bit encoding and decoding processing, UCS2 encoding and decoding processing, PDU string processing, and the implementation of SMS sending and receiving. In the realization of DES algorithm, the main work includes the study of cryptography, the study of DES algorithm principle, the choice of DES algorithm sub-keys, the improvement and implementation of DES algorithm.
