Three Different Type Graphic Displays Displaying Performance Comparative Studies

ObjectiveTo quantitative assessment the performance of three display, appraise three display image quality factor(IQF) and compare three display ROC curve, study the practicability of Smartphone reading medical image.Material and MethodUse luminance brightness instrument Solidose L100 and AAPM TG-18 recommended standardized test pattern gotten three display light curve and luminance contrast curve, to compare with DICOM3.14 standard curve; To take CDRAD2.0 module and TRG module with digitized photography equipment, to display the acquired image at three displays, 6 observer read CDRAD2.0 module image leave each other, then record the least threw out site, then calculate the image quality facto(rIQF)and comparative analysis; 4 observer read the TRG module image divide 5 rank leave each other, got ROC curves with ROCKIT software, compare three ROC curve and the area underside curve Az value, then take u analysis.Result(1)Three displays with standard uniformity all be good at luminance contrast aspect; At luminance contrast response aspect, the consistency of medical display is the best with standard, business display is the worst, mobile is middle; The medical display meet AAPM criteria at brightness uniformity aspect. (2)The IQF value of medical display is least in three display, there is all have statistics difference with business and mobile display; There is no statistics difference between business and mobile display.(3)Three display ROC curve show that medical display is better than mobile display and business display; In their Az value, medical display'Az is the most, mobile display'Az is middle, business display'Az is the least; There is have statistics difference between medical display and business display, there is no statistics difference between medical display and mobile display; There is no statistics difference between business display and mobile display. (4)Three display displaying AAPM recommended anatomy test pattern, medical display be able to clarity displayed and satisfy the criteria, mobile too be able to satisfy that criteria by magnify image, business display only part reach that required criteria.ConclusionSmartphone is better than the general commercial display on the maximum brightness and brightness contrast respond. It can meet the basic requirements for medical images. Smartphone is limited by the screen size and maximum brightness. It is as not as medical professionals displays, but its portability and mobility is a huge advantage.
