Objective Research on vitamin D receptor(VDR) gene Fok I and Taq I polymorphis distribution,to explore the relationship between Fok I ,Taq I and female infants vitamin D deficiency rickets, even its clinical significance. Methods The subjects were composed of four groups: female infants with rickets 60 cases for the the group of ricket's girls ; male infants with rickets 58 cases, the heathy female infants 58 cases ,healthy male infants 62 cases for the control groups of ricket's boys, Healthy girls, Healthy boys, Han nationality in Gansu. The Fok I, Taq I genotypas of the four groups were determined by using polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP )technique ,and compared the four groups with its' polymorphism of the frequency. Results To compare the ricket's girls group with the control groups , find that the difference between VDR Taq I genotype and alleles frequency distriibution were not significant (p>0.05 ), There was significant difference in the frequencies distriibution of Fok I genotypes and alleles among the ricket's girls group and the control groups of Healthy girls and boys(p<0.05) ;but not between the ricket's girls group and the control group of ricket's boys (p>0.05).Conclusion There is the possibility that part of VDR gene polymorphism might be significantly correlate with infants vitamin D deficiency rickets; The VDR gene polymorphism in infants rickets without gender differences.
