PurposeThe purpose of this study was to observe stress distribution and maximum stresses of implant-supported all-ceramic single crown on alumina, zirconia, and titanium abutments.MethodsThree dimensional finite element model of implant-supported all-ceramic crown form and ibular first premolar was founded.Alumina, zirconia and titanium were used as abutment materials, respectively. 600N vertical load and 225N horizontal load were applied on the occlusal surface. The stress distribution with in all-ceramic crown, abutment on different abutment were analyzed.ResultsThe stress distribution on ceramic abutments was similar to that on titanium abutment. The maximum stresses under horizontal loading were higher than those under vertical loading. The maximum stresses within all-ceramic crown on ceramic abutments were lower than those on titanium abutment. The maximum stresses within titanium abutment were lower than those within all-ceramic abutments while the displacement of titanium abutment was higher.ConclusionThe stresses within zirconia all-ceramic crown on ceramic abutments were lower than those on titanium abutment. The stresses within zirconia abutment were higher than those within alumina abutment...
