With the development of the social and the improving of the economic level, people's sense of aesthetics and quality of life have become increasingly demanding, the desire of correcting the malocclusion deformity are increasing urgent, so orthodontic clinical technology is flourishing. On this premise, the application of computed tomography technology(CT) in oral come into being. From CT, we can see the skeletal deformation, tooth root development, the relationship between the teeth and their adjacent teeth and the periodontal, but if we want to learn the teeth displacement and the stress distribution in the process of the orthodontic, just using CT scan or mechanical experiment is not enough. Biological systems are so complex that the usual mechanical experiment cannot apply to human body directly, the remodeling and simulation of biological system can simplify it to mathematical model, and analysis it with computer, so the complex and expensive and even unachieved experiment can be replaced. This paper introduces the base of orthodontics and the development of the orthodontic biomechanis, then put forward the background and the significance of the research. It introduces the process of constructing model of the teeth and orthodontic appliance, in which focusing on the teeth modeling , discussing the model construction methods in and abroad, This research scan the teeth of one healthy person with CT, then open the photo which is preserved by DICOM format with medical imaging software E-film, then recognized the border of the teeth by MATLAB programming, then reconstructing the teeth, period ligament, alveolar bone ,pulp cave in ANSYS10.0.This paper calculate the contact force between the arcwire and the bracket, which is also the reaction force achieved when the arcwire is placed in the bracket by the finite element parametric quadratic programming method which is based on the parametric variational principle and the multi-substructure technique. Then give a summary of the law of the orthodontic force that resulted by arcwire deformation. This paper analysis the stress distribution of the teeth and their displacement trend by the finite element model of teeth and orthodontic appliance loaded by the reaction force achieved by the above chapter. On the basis of the investigation, the current orthodontic force was to focus or concentrate in the form of imposition of torque, this is bound to result errors. So the finite element model constructed by this paper is more accurate, It will provide theoretical basis for clinical orthodontics and lay the foundation for the future other research.
