Objectives:Emotional stress has been anecdotally linked to acne flares,but this relation has been difficult to assess objectively.We were to assess the psychosocial impact of acne vulgaris and to evaluate the possible relationship between test anxiety and acne exacerbation.Methods:(1)we selected 200 patients with acne vulgaris randomly from three hospitals,hunan traditional Chinese medicine hospital,shenzhen traditional Chinese medicine hospital and the xiangya hospital of central south university,to finish the CADI and evaluate the flares severity by Pillsbury scale,GAGS for the relationship between them, respectively.(2)We evaluated 60 students ache severity and Sarason TAS scores changes during both examination and non-examination periods.Conclusions:(1) There are relationship between the flares severity of acne evaluated by Pillsbury scale and the CADI scores.It was suggested that the difference among the previous results done by several researchers,mainly due to the assessing tools.(2) Test anxiety may influence the acne severity of high middle school students,grade 3,especially the right cheek evidently.
