Clinical Study Of Chuanxiong Huoxue Tongqiao Tang On Migraine With Bleeding

Objective: To investigate the clinical efficacy and the effect on blood rheology and intracranial hemodynamics of Chuanxiong Huoxue Tongqiao capsule treated on migraine with bleeding. To provide more effective treatment programmes for migraine.Methods: To choose 60 cases patients of migraine with bleeding from the neurology clinic of the First Affiliated Hospital of Hunan University of Traditinal Chinese Medical, September,2007 to March,2008. Then divided them into Chuanxiong Huoxue Tongqiao capsule group and Duliang Pill Group according to the random number table. To compare the clinical efficacy, intracranial hemodynamics and blood rheology changes of the two groups before and after the treatment, and analysed the results.Results: After 4 weeks of treatment, the total efficiency of Chuanxiong Huoxue Tongqiao capsule group was 93.3%,while Duliang pill group was 83.3%, there was a significant difference between the two groups (P <0.05).Integral Syndrome and headache score comparison: both groups decreased before and after treatment by self-comparison(P<0.01).The score of Chuanxiong Huoxue Tongqiao Capsule group reduced more than the Duliang pill group(P<0.01, P<0.05).Both Chuanxiong Huoxue Tongqiao capsules group and the Duliang pill group can change intracranial hemodynamics,and Chuanxiong Huoxue Tongqiao capsules group had a more marked improvement and regulatory role to cerebral hemodynamics than the Duliang pill group(P<0.01).Hemorheology comparison: The high and low shear, plasma viscosity and fibrinogen of Chuanxiong Huoxue Tongqiao capsules group were significantly decreased after treatment (P<0.01,P<0.05);while the changes of low shear and plasma viscosity of the Duliang pill group had statistical significance (P <0.05);the declining of high shear, plasma viscosity and fibrinogen of Chuanxiong Huoxue Tongqiao Capsule group was more significantly than that of the Duliang pill group(P<0.01);and there was no statistically significant difference of low shear between the two groups(P> 0.05).Conclusion: The results suggested that both Chuanxiong Huoxue Tongqiao capsules and Duliang Pills are effective in treating migraine with bleeding,and Chuanxiong Huoxue Tongqiao capsules are superior on the clinical effect and it is worthy the promotion and clinical applications.
