| Objective:To investigate the expression and the clinical significance Of HIF-1αand MMP-9 in osteosareoma.Method:Immunohistoehemieal staining(S-P) was used to detect the expression of HIF-1αand mmp-9 in 35 osteosareoma specimens and 14 cases of osreochondroma was used as nagtive control.hif-1α,mmp-9 were described by qualitative analysis:"+"means positive cell>5%.All parameters were analyzed in computerized SPSS statistic software(Version 13.0).Result:(1),The positive expression rates of HIF-1αand MMP-9 in osteosacoma were 65.71%(23/35),71.42%(25/35),the positive expression rates of HIF-1αand MMP-9 in osreochondroma were 14.28%(2/14),7.14%(1/14).(2),The over expression of HIF-1αand MMP-9 in osteosarcoma were related with its clinical stage and metastasis and not with its histological classification and types of pathology。(3),The coexpression of HIF-1αand MMP-9 was 67.8% (20/35);positively expressed HIF-1αwithout MMP-9 expression was 18.6%(3/35);positively expressed MMP-9 and without HIF-1αexpression was 11.86%(5/35);No expression of both HIF-1αand MMP-9 was 1.69%(7/35).The positive expression rate of MMP-9 in the group with positive expression of HIF-1αwas 97.56%(20/23),the positive expression rate of MMP-9 in the group with no expression of HIF-1αwas 61.11%(5/12),which shows a compacted positive correlation between them.Conclusion:(1),HIF-1αand MMP-9 were highly expressed in the primary focus of osteosarcoma;(2),The expression of HIF-1αand MMP-9 may be useful prognostic marker of osteosarcoma;(3),MMP-9 expression was associated with the expression of Hif-1αin the primary focus;This suggest that there may be a relationship between them.Hif-1α,MMP-9 may closely correlated with the formation and development of osteosarcoma. |
