| Objective: The aim was to study the expression of GDF-9 in human granulosa cell of poor ovarian responder patients and to investigate the role of GDF-9 in follicle development undergoing controlled ovarian hyperstimulation.Design: 49samples of human granulosa cells were obtained from patients undergoing IVF-ET /ICSI treatment. All of the patients were stimulated with improved GnRH analogue-FSH short protocols. The GDF-9 in human granulosa cells was determined by immunohistochemical method. In order to exploring the relationship of its expression with ovary responsion. 49 samples was divide into two groups , poor responder group (experimental group , n=30) and normoresponder group (control group, n=19) .Results: 1.GDF-9 were detected in all human granulosa cell samples.2. The expression of GDF-9 was significantly higher in normoresponder group compared to poor responder group (P<0.05) .Conclusions: 1. GDF-9 were detected in all human granulosa cell samples ,this result suggests that human granulosa cell GDF-9 expression may play a crucial role in follicle development by autocrine undergoing controlled ovarian hyperstimulation.2. The decreasing expression of GDF-9 in granulosa cells may be related to the mechanism of poor ovarian response. |
