The Therapeutic Research Of High Intensity Focused Ultrasound On Treating Abdomen Malignant Tumor

Objective:To provide a new choose for therapeutic of middle-advanced abdomen malignant tumor by treating 24 middle-advanced abdomen malignant tumor patients with High Intensity Focused Ultrasound(HIFU) and observing the short term effect.Methods:The changes of the 24 cases with middle-advanced abdomen malignant tumors' weight pre and post treatment,KPS score, score of pain feeling,tumor markers,blood routine,biochemical index and electrolytes will be observed by FEP-BY02 HIFU treatment device, the echo and blood supply of tumor will be measured by both B-ultrasound and color Doppler imaging as well as size of tumor by CT; The follow-up period of the survival rate of patients is 3～12 months.Results:After the High Intensity Focused Ultrasound(HIFU) treatment to these 24 cases with middle-advanced abdomen malignant tumor,the body weight increased(57.9±9.1kg Vs 59.6±10.1kg,p＜0.01), KPS increased markedly compared with that of pre treatment(43.3±12.0 Vs 70.0±15.9,p＜0.01),the score of pain feeling decreased(6.3±1.6 VS 3.4±1.1,p＜0.05),the level of tumor markers reduced(615.2±315.2 VS 182.8±136.8 p＜0.05).Of 20 cases(Z=-4.041,p＜0.01) observed by B-ultrasound,the echo of inner tumor somewhat enhanced compared with that of pre treatment,and liquefaction,fibrosis and calcification can be found in the tumor.There are decrease or disappearance of the blood supply of tumor to some extent in 21 cases(Z=4.144,p＜0.01),and the CT showed that the size of tumor regressed or stayed the same (67.2±19.3 cm~3 VS 28.1±15.3 cm~3,p＜0.01).Also there are no significant changes in the Blood routine,biochemical index and electrolytes after the High Intensity Focused Ultrasound(HIFU) treatment.Conclusions:1.The HIFU treatment in middle-advanced abdomen malignant tumor is a promising noninvasive method of treatment In middle-advanced abdomen malignant tumor,because it has more curative effect in the aspect of improving the patients' clinical symptoms,it also can reduce the size of tumor efficiently,decrease or interrupt the blood supply of tumor. 2.HIFU treatment for middle-advanced abdomen malignant tumor has the advantages of little side-effect and high safety.
