Objeetvie:To study the characteristic changes of multifocal VEP in exotropias to provide the theory of choosing the exotropic operation's opportunity and the evaluation of therapeutic effect.Methods:The mVEP of both eyes of 103 exotropias were recorded by Roland RETIScan3.20 multiofcal electrophysiological system made by Germany Roland company. The changes in different retinal area were investigated by comparing with the normal subjects.Result:1,Compared with the normal group:In the normal visual exotropia's group,there were no differences with the normal eyes. In the exotropia with light-amblyopia's group,the amplitude densties were reduced at the first,second,third eccentricity, the latencies were delayed at the first eccentricity.In the exotropia with mid-amblyopia's group, the amplitude densties were reduced at the first,second,third eccentricity, the latencies were delayed at the first,second,third eccentricity.In the exotropia with weight-amblyopia's group , the amplitude densties were reduced at six eccentricities, the latencies were delayed at the first,second,third eccentricity.In the exotropia with amblyopia's group, the amplitude densties were reduced and the latencies were delayed in upper and lower retinal hemifield.In the exotropia with amblyopia's group, the amplitude densties were reduced and the latencies were delayed in nasal and temporal retinal hemifield.2,Compared with the temporal retinal hemifield:In the exotropia with mid-amblyopia's group,the amplitude densties in the nasal retinal hemifield were reduced and in the exotropia with weight-amblyopia's group, the amplitude densties in the nasal hemifield were reduced and the latencies in the nasal retinal hemifield were delayed. Conclusion:1,In the normal visual exotropia's group, there were no contaminate at the visual conduction pervium.2,In the exotropia with amblyopia's group ,the contaminate of visual conduction pervium were more serious in the centeral retinal hemifield.3,In the exotropia with mid- amblyopia's group and the exotropia with weight- amblyopia's group, compared with the temporal retinal hemifield,the contaminate of visual conduction pervium were more serious in the nasal retinal hemifield.4,The investigation provide the theory of choosing the exotropic operation's opportunity and the evaluation of therapeutic effect.
