The Contrast Study Between The Thickness Measured By Ultrasonometry Of The Body Flap And The Soft Tissue Of The Footplate

Objective:To provide theory data for the choice of the free flaps to reconstruct large area soft tissue defect of the footplate .Methods:Select one hundred adult (male 50, female 50),apply ultrasonography to measure the thickness of the footplate (include the first phalanx center , the fifth phalanx center,the instep center and the heel center) and latissimus dorsi flaps (shoulder-blade inferior angle), thoracic umbilical flap (3cm beside umbilicus) and anterolateral thigh flap(divided into upper, middle and below three parts) . Contrast the disparity of the thickness between the different sites. Data analysis was performed by using SPSS13.0,then adopted one-way ANOVE ,A P value of <0.05 was considered statistically significant.Results:There is no statistical difference between the latissimus dorsi muscle-skin flap and the thoracic umbilical flap,but between these two flaps and the anterolateral thigh flap has statistical difference. Between the upper, middle and below of the anterolateral thigh flap has significant disparity. Furthermore,female exceed male obviously in the thickness of the thoracic umbilical flap and the anterolateral thigh flap. Among of the thickness of the heel cent??the first phalanx center, the fifth phalanx center,the instep center has significant disparity. The soft tissue thickness of the footplate has significance disparity with the latissimus muscle-skin flap,the thoracic umbilical flap and the upper anterolateral thigh flap. No significant differences in thickness were found between the middle anterolateral thigh flap and the heel center , but there is statistical difference between the middle anterolateral thigh flap and the first phalanx center, the fifth phalanx center,the instep center. No significant differences in thickness were found between the below anterolateral thigh flap and the first phalanx center, the fifth phalanx center and the instep center, but there is statistical difference between the below anterolateral thigh flap and the heel center.Conclusion :1.The thickness of middle anterolateral thigh flap was the same as that of the heel center,it is the first flap supply to repair the large area soft tissue defect of the heel center.2.The thickness of below anterolateral thigh flap was the same as that of the ante-footplate,it is the first flap supply to repair the large area soft tissue defect of the ante-footplate.
