Analyze The Factors At The Healing Of The External Fixator For Tibial-fibular Fracture

Objeetive: Observing the healing conditions of external fixator for tibial-fibular fracture, and studying the relative factors on the fracture healing, in order to guide the clinical therapy.Method: Review the general situation,characteristics, treatment progress of the external fixator for tibial-fibular fracture, the Chinese and western medicine research status of the fracture healing; Observe the healing conditions of 40 patients which were treated by external fixator for tibial-fibular fracture, study the factors that whether the fracture was communicated to outside, whether the fibular was fixted, whether the external fixator was dynamited on the fracture healing.Results:1.All the patients were healed, the healing time was between 3 to 12 months, the average time was 6.18±2.30 months.There are 4 patients were healed after 3months,6 patients were healed after 4 months,7 patients were healed after 5 months, 8 patients were healed after 6 months, 5 patients were healed after 7 months, 3 patients were healed after 8 months, 4 patients were healed after 9 months,l patient was healed after 10 months, 1 patient was healed after 11 months, and the last 1 patient was healed after 12 months.The average callus growth score was 1. 40±0.93 points. The excellent and good rate of the limb function was 70%.2.Compared to the average healing time, the callus and the recovery condition of the affected limb function(after 3 months) , the closed fracture patients had significant differences than the opened fracture patients(P<0.05).3.All the tibial-fibular fracture patients(including the closed tibial-fibular fracture patients),whose fibulares were fixed,had significant differences than who were non-fixed fibulares on the average healing time(P<0.05),but no significant differences on the callus and the recovery condition of the affected limb function(after 3 months)than the others (P > 0.05);However, the opened tibial-fibular fracture patients,whose fibulares were fixed, had no significant differences on the average healing time, the callus and the recovery condition of the affected limb function(after 3 months) than the others (P>0.05).4. All the patients(including the closed patients) who achieved the external fixator dynamited after operation,had extremely significant differences on the average healing time, the callus and the recovery condition of the affected limb function(after 3 months) than the others (P<0.01) .And the opened fracture patients,the above indices also had significant differences than the others (P<0.05).Conclusion:1. The external fixator for tibial-fibular fracture has definite therapeutic effect, and also a kind way to the opened tibial-fibular fracture. 2. The opened tibial-fibular fracture has the worse healing conditions than the closed.3.If the fibular was fixed staunchly,there would produce positive influence on the healing conditions.4. The external fixator dynamited after operation,can promote the facture healing, and the recovery of the affected limb function.
