Objective: We study the inflammatory mechanism of GuanXinQingBan capsules in treatment on unstable angina pectoris by observing the changes of CRP and Adiponectin after 28 days' treatment on 58 cases of UA.Methods: 58 cases were randomized to two groups. 30 cases as treatment group, in which a basic western medicine combined with GuanXinQingBan capsules be applied. 28 cases as control, in which a basic western medicine combined with Simvastatin be given. All data were compared after 28 days' treatment. The blood samples were drawn from venous in the morning just before and after 28 days' treatment. The concentration of CRP is determined by scatter Turbidimetry, and the concentration of Adiponectin by ELISA.Results:1.After treatment, the clinical symptoms, electrocardiogram, heart fuction and blood lipid were significantly improved in all cases(P<0.01).2.The differences of total effective rates of ECG,Heart Failure and clinical symptoms of TCM between two groups were significant (P<0.01). 3. The serum concentration of CRP was lower and Adiponectin was high after than before treatment in two groups .Theâ–³CRP (different value after and before treatment) andâ–³Adiponectin in GXQB group are bigger than that of control group(P<0.01).4. During following up, the incidence of acute cardiac events in treatment group was lower than that of control group (3.85%VS16.67%)Conclusion: GuanXinQingBan capsules has good effects on patients with UA. After treatments, the serum concentration of CRP decreased and Adiponectin was increased significantly and the incidence of acute cardiac events also decreased. All of these results indicate that the anti-inflammatory mechanism is one of the effective mechanisms of GuanXinQingBan capsules in treatment on UA.
