Experimental Study Which Transpupillary Thermotherapy United With Vitreous Cavity Injection Of Triamcinolone Acetonide To Treat Choroidal Neovascularization In Rabbits

ObjectiveInduced choroidal neovascularizatrion animal model with laser. To study the safety, effectiveness on treating choroidal neovascularizatrion about transpupillary thermotherapy combined with intravitreal triamcinolone acetonide. And provided the basis for clinical treatment of choroidal neovascularization diseases.Method :1 Establish CNV model of rabbit.2 To Check the situation of choroidal neovascularization with OCT and ICGA at the second week,third week,forth week after establishing CNV model of rabbit.3 Which transpupillary thermotherapy combined with intravitreal triamcinolone acetonide treated choroidal neovascularization at the fifth week (n=8,n means the selected eyes of this experiment)after establishing CNV model of rabbit. 5 Measured intraocular pressure at the second month,third month after Combination therapy,and compared to the beforer.4 Observed the situation of CNV regression with OCT and ICGA at the first month,second month,third month after Combination therapy.Results:1.IOP :the average value was 10.1625±3.2151mmHg at the second month, and 10.4625±3.8251 mmHg at the third month after Combination therapy.2.Display of OCT: laser spots could be seen extraordinarily high reflect in 7 eyes at the second week, 9 eyes at the third week and 12 eyes at forth week after establishing CNV model of rabbit;Extraordinarily high reflect disappeared in 7eyes(n=8) at the first month,6 eyes at the second month,6 eyes(n=8)at the third month and some in 2 eyes after Combination therapy.3.Display of ICGA: 7 laser spots could be seen punctate fluorescence leakage in 7 eyes at the second week,9 eyes at the third week and 12eyes at the forth week after establishing CNV model of rabbit; Fluorescence leakage disappeared completely in 7 eye at the first month,6 eyes at the second month, 6 eyes (n=8) at the third month and some in 2 eyes after Combination therapy.4. During examination and treatment ,the corneal epithelium defected in 3 eyes.5 days later, the corneal epithelium recoverd completely after giving Sodium Hyaluronate.5 The TA was absord in 5 eyes(62.5%)after the first month,and 8 eyes(100%)after the second month of IVTA.Conclusion: Which transpupillary thermotherapy combined with intravitreal triamcinolone acetonide may be an effective and safe treatment for choroidal neovascularization.
