Purpose: To explore feasibility of individual injection technique by 64-detector row CT coronary angiography.Materials and Methods: CTCA was performed in 62 patients who were divided into two groups. In constant group (31 cases), 80 ml contrast medium bolus was followed by 40 ml saline at 5ml/s injection rate; in individual group (31 cases), 1ml/kg body weight of total injection volume of contrast medium was delivered, injection rate and duration of contrast medium depended on peak time of aorta maximum enhancement and total injection volume of saline depended on peak time of pulmonary artery maximum enhancement by Test bolus technique. Measure and compare the two sets of contrast medium dosage, CT values and SD values of aorta, RA cavity, pulmonary artery and left atrium and coronary as well as SNR and CNR of the aorta and coronary artery; moreover compared between the two groups image quality and small coronary blood vessels show rate.Result: By Mann-Whitney U-test, total injection volume of contrast medium had statistical difference (P <0.05); By t-test, the mean CT values of root of aorta and right coronary artery and coronary artery of two groups had statistical difference (P <0.05); while the mean CT values and SD value of pulmonary artery and RA cavity had statistical differences (P < 0.05); while the mean SNR and CNR values of root of aorta and coronary artery had statistical differences (P < 0.05). By Mann-Whitney U-test, beside of proximal RCA, Second diagonal, marginal and posterior lateral branch, Image quality grading results of the other coronary artery had statistical differences (P<0.05). Byχ2 test, the visualization of branch of sinuatrial node and interventricular septum had statistical differences (P<0.05).Conclusion: Individual injection technique by 64-detector row CT coronary angiography is feasible.
