A Correlative Study Between The Creativity Level And Fatty Acids Level Or EMBU For Children With ADHD

Objective: To discuss the creativity of the children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and to find some correlation be- tween the creativity level and fatty acids level or Egma Minnen av Bardn- dosna upforstran (EMBU) for child with ADHD.Methods: 60 ADHD children met with DSM-IV diagnosis criteria, in which there are 54 males and 6 femals, and the age range is 7-12 years old. Control 38 health children are from volunteers, include of 31 male and 7 female. All subjects were examined with the general state of questionnaire, Mini-Mental state Examination, Egma Minnen av Bardndosna upforstran (EMBU), the creativity assessment packet (William, CAP) and New creativity test, Parenting way and creativity. At the same time, we got promise to draw 3 ml fetch vein blood to determine the concentration of fatty acids in the erythrocyte membraneResults:⒈In CAP, the scores of adventure, curiosity, imagination, challenge and total scores were lower in ADHD group than health control (HC) (P<0.05).⒉In New Creativity Test, the scores of verbal fluency, verbal flexibility, verbal originality, figural fluency, figural flexibility, figural elaboration were lower in ADHD group than HC (P<0.05).⒊In EMBU, the scores of FSS1 and MSS1 were lower in ADHD group than HC (P<0.05), and the scores of FSS2, FSS5, FSS6, MSS2, MSS3 and MSS4 were higher in ADHD group than HC (P<0.05).⒋The fatty acid 18:0 was more in ADHD than HC, and 20:5(EPA), 22:5(DPA), 22:6(DHA), n-6% and n-3% were fewer in ADHD than HC(P<0.05).⒌The scores of adventure was negatively correlated with the scores of MSS2 and MSS5; The scores of curiosity, challenge and total scores was negatively correlated with the scores of MSS2; the scores of imagination was negatively correlated with the scores of FSS5, MSS2 and MSS3; the scores of verbal fluency was negatively correlated with the scores of MSS5; the scores of verbal flexibility was positively correlated with the scores of FSS1; the scores of verbal originality was positively correlated with the scores of FSS6. (P<0.05).⒍The score of challenge was negatively correlated with 16:00; the total score of CAP was negatively correlated with 18:1(n-7); the scores of curiosity, imagination, challenge and total score of CAP were positively correlated with 20:00; the scores of imagination, challenge and total score of CAP were positively correlated with 20:4(AA); the scores of curiosity, challenge and total score of CAP were positively correlated with EPA; the score of challenge was positively with n-6%(P<0.05).Conclusions:⒈To some extent, the creativity of ADHD was lower than HC.⒉The creativity of ADHD was correlated with EMBU.⒊The creativity of ADHD was correlated with the thickness of fatty acids in the erythrocyte membrane.
