Clinical Effect Research Of Zi Yin Gu Ben Decoction To Cure Multiple Sclerosis Of Gan Shen Yin Xu Stasis

Objective To investigate the clinical effect of zi yin gu ben Decoction treatment of multiple sclerosis in acute phase and on content of uric acid (UA).Methods Sixty patients with MS were randomly divided into the treated group (n=30) and the controlled one (n=30). The content of UA were measured on the 1th and 28th day, and the results compared with 30 non-inflammatory neurological disease(NIND) group, Furthermore, the patients were evaluated using Scale of Clinical symptoms,clinical neurological deficit and Kurtzke expanded disability status Scale (EDSS). The treatment course for both groups was 28 days.Results The total rate of curative effect in the treated group(96.7%) was significant higher than that in another one (80.0%), The marks of Clinical symptoms,clinical neurological deficit and EDSS in the treated group were more significant lowered than that in another one (p<0.05). Leveles of UA Lower in patients with MS than that of NIND group(p<0.05), Leveles of UA were significant Increased after treatment(p<0.05).Conclusion zi yin gu ben Decoction can improve the neurological deficit of patients better ,compared with only using west medicine. This analysis suggests that the Decoction may inhibit the immune response and inflammatory injure of central nervous system, The serum levels of UA help to judge the activityof MS and the theraputic effect of durg treatment.
