ObjectiveTo establish an ideal animal model of partial unilateral ureter obstruction(PUUO);to explore the method of cast mould of nephric blood vessel on hydronephrosis animal model;to study the changes between normal and dropsy kidney,so as to provide anatomical data for the study of hydronephrosis.Material and Methods48 adult New Zealand rabbits were randomly assigned into two groups:1. 12 New Zealand rabbits in normal group.2. 36 New Zealand rabbits in obstructive group were subjected to left upper ureter obstruction by the method modified of embedding plastic tube into ureter. In normal and obstructive group,6 rabbits which from normal group and 18 rabbits from obstructive group were randomly assigned and intravenous pyelography,ultrasound and tissue section were performed at 1,2 and 4 weeks after the operation.3. 6 rabbits were assigned randomly from normal group and 18 from obstructive group at 1,2,4 weeks after PUUO,then the cast form of renal artery,renal calices and renal pelvis were performed and the blood vessel diameters of renal artery,renal trunk artery,segmental renal artery,interlobar artery were measured.the bulking agent of cast form is perchloroethylene for blood vessel and dental base acrylic resin powder for renal calices and renal pelvis.Resluts1.The collecting-system of the obstructed kidney is dilated progressively,APD and V are higher,and RCT is thinner than those of obstructive group at every intervals,with significant difference in APD and V were found between normal and obstructive group at every intervals respectively (P<0.01),with significant difference in RCT were found between normal and obstructive group of 4 weeks after the operation (P<0.01).2.The renal calices and ureter of the obstructed kidney is dilated progressively,with significant difference in length and width respectively were found between normal and obstructive group at every intervals(P<0.01).3. rabbit has only a left renal artery or right renal artery,the first class branch of renal artery are usually two branches named renal ante-trunk and meta-trunk,they constitute ante-artery and meta-artery system of renal pelvis respectively,the second class branch of renal artery is named segmental renal artery,ante-superior segmental , ante-intermediate and ante-inferior segmental artery usually come from renal ante-trunk artery , meta-superior segmental,meta-middle superior segmental, meta-middle inferior segment and meta-inferior segment artery come from renal meta-trunk artery,they provide blood supply for corresponding renal parenchyma.renal arteries and its branches of normal group are coarctate and adqulis in renal parenchyma.with the gradually accrescence of obstruction time and degree,renal arteries and branches of the obstructed kidney are distorted progressively,and they are sparser than those of normal group,no significant difference in the blood vessel diameters of renal artery were found between normal and obstructive groups;with significant changes were found between O4 of renal trunk artery,segmental renal artery and N group; with significant difference between O2, O4 of interlobar arteries and N group respectively and also with significant changes between O4 and O2 of interlobar arteries,The renal calices and renal pelvis of the obstructed kidney are dilated progressively.4. Renal tissue section O1:no pathological changes on renal glomerulus and renal tubule;O2:slight atrophy of renal glomerulus and slight expansion of renal tubule,inflammatory cell and fibroblast infiltration of renal interstitium;O4:it was discovered that atrophy of renal glomerulus,expansion of renal tubule and renal capsule were aggravated respectively,colloidal albumen in the renal tubule and partial calcification in the renal interstitium were found respectively.The infiltration degree of the inflammatory cell and the fibroblast were aggravated. Conclusion1.It is ideal to establish animal model of partial unilateral ureter obstruction with method modified of embedding plastic tube into ureter,The model is simple,exercisable and effective.2.It is ideal bulking agent of cast form that perchloroethylene for blood vessel and dental base acrylic resin powder for renal calices and renal pelvis.the structure cast were clear,serial and integrated and The method of cast form is simple,exercisable and effective.3.The caliber,change caused by hydronephrosis is slight to renal artery,renal trunk artery and segmental renal artery,however,the calibe of interlobar artery is diminished acutely with the development of the hydronephrosis.
