Experiment ObjectiveThese studies were focused on the effects of CLA on the body fat,blood lipid and liver lipid concentrations,the activities of the corresponding enzymes in fat metabolism and energy catabolism in rats.Through comparison the differences in the effects of CLA mixture,isomers, free fatty acid-type(FFA) -CLA and free fatty acid-type(TG) -CLA on lowing the blood lipid and anti-obesity,the theoretical basis about preventing and curing the obesity and hyperlipidemia was provided.Experiment methods1:The male Wistar rats were divided into 3 groups:normal control group,low-dose CLA mixture group and high dose CLA mixture group.After 4 weeks feeding,the following parameters were determined:body weight,liver weight,adipose tissue weight,the levels of the blood and hepatic lipid,and hepatic lipid metabolism enzyme activities.2:The male Wistar rats were divided into 3 groups:normal control group,FFA-CLA group and TG-CLA group.After 4 weeks feeding,the following parameters were determined:body weight,liver weight,the levels of the blood and hepatic lipid,the levels of serum leptin,insulin, glucose and TNF-a.3:The Wistar rots were fed with pair-feeding for 4weeks.At the points of 24hs,2 weeks and 4weeks post-feeding the CLA,the oxygen consumption and CO2 production were measured to calculate the energy production.Experiment results1,CLA mixture decreased the blood and hepatic lipid levels and adipose tissue weight. There was a positive relation between the levels of dietary CLA and its inhibition effects on the adipose tissue weight,serum(TG) and TC,liver TG and total cholesterol(TC).2,Both TG-CLA and FFA-CLA reduced serum and hepatic lipid levels and adipose tissue weight.There was no difference in the activity of hypolipidemia and anti-obesity between TG-CLA and FFA-CLA.But for the control of blood glucose,insulin and TNF-a,TG-CLA is better than FFA-CLA.3,Two major isomers of CLA showed different effects on the lipid metabolism.On the effects of hypolipidemia,anti-fatty fiver,anti-obesity,t10,c12-CLA was better than c9, t11-CLA.4,CLA mixture increased the oxygen consumption and CO2 production in both short time and long time treatment.On the other hand,there were not different in the levels of adrenalin and noradrenalin of serum and urea.Experiment conclusionCLA mixture,TG-CLA,FFA-CLA,CLA and the two major isomers(c9,t11CLA and t10, c12CLA) showed the different activities in lipid metabolism and glucose metabolism.CLA can enhance the energy metabolism and decrease the accumulation of fat in rats.
