AIM:By comparing the clinical correlation factor to polysomnogram (PSG) results in the Obstructive Sleep Apnea-Hypopnea Syndrome (OSAHS) , provided more reference of clinical diagnosis.METHODS:665 patients of suspected OSAHS were analyzed in a retrospective study.Clinical correlation factor,Epworth Scale and the all-night eight-hours polysomnography(PSG)recording were carried out. RESULTS:Patients were divided into three groups according polysomnogram result, wherein 11.73% had normal,26.02% had mild, 18.04% moderate and 44.21% severe. Clinical symptom, only insomnia and excessive daytime sleepiness (EDS), had statistical significance in the evaluation of OSAHS'degree (P<0.05). The others,as Epworth sleeping scale and body mass index (BMI) etc, had statistical significance in the ranking of OSAHS.CONCLUSION:To appraise allroundly progression of disease,Clinicians need to combinate clinical symptom and correlation factor, such as Epworth sleeping scale and BMI and neck collar,in OSAHS patients .
