Objective:To explore the incidence of affective disorder after stroke in acute-phase and the correlation between it and degree of internal carotid artery stenosis.Methods:93 patients after acute stroke were divided into 49 patients in stroke group and 44 patients in affective disorder group due to the rating scales, whom were admitted with the diagnostic code, and conditions of being selected.Every group was divided into common, minor, moderate and major internal carotid artery stenosis groups due to the color duplex sonography, then the correlation between the incidence of affective disorder and degree of internal carotid artery stenosis were analyzed with logistic regression. And analyze the differente incidence of affective disorder after stroke in acute-phase between patients with single side internal carotid artery stenosis and patients with two sides. At last, the same analysis was did between patients with left side internal carotid artery stenosis and patients with right side.Results:44 patients(47.31%) included in 93 patients experienced affective disorder after stroke,29 patients(31.18%) experienced depression,6 patients(6.45%) experienced comorbid anxiety and depression and 9 patients(9.68%) experienced anxiety. The correlation between incidence of affective disorder after stroke in acute-phase and degree of internal carotid artery stenosis was significant(P<0.05).The incidence of affective disorder between two sides artery stenosis group and one side group was different(P<0.05) in 84 patients with internal carotid artery stenosis. There was no statistical differences(P>0.05) of incidence of affective disorder between left and side artery stenosis group in 67 patients with one side internal carotid artery stenosis. Conclusion:Internal carotid artery stenosis was correlated with the incidence of affective disorder after stroke in acute-phase,patients with two sides stenosis were more impossible to experience affective disorder than ones with one side, the incidence didn,t change no matter left or right internal carotid artery stenosis.
