Efficacy Of Etomidate Combined With Ketamine In Children Anesthesia Maintenance Undergoing Operation

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of etomidate combined with ketamine in children anesthesia maintenance undergoing operation.Methods Forty children aged 2-12 yr,ASAâ… -â…¡,operation time between 30-60 minutes undergoing elective short-term operation were divided into 2 groups.Group A:twenty childern received etomidate and ketamine combined anesthesia maintenance;Group B:twenty childern received propofol and remifentanil combined anesthesia maintenance.Systolic blood pressure (SBP),diastolic blood pressure(DBP),HR and SpO2 were recorded before anesthesia induction (baseline),2 min after induction,at the initiation of the operation,15 min after the initiation of operation and at emergence from anesthesia.Adverse effects during and after the operation and analepsia time were recorded.Results The NIBP and HR in group A have no significant change after anesthesia(P>0.05).But in group B NIBP and HR in tracheal intubation,initiation of operation and tracheal extubation were significantly higher than that in the operation and after the induction(P<0.05).The emergence from anesthesia have a little delay in group A than in group B.Conclusion Etomidate combined with ketamine can produce good anesthetic effect in childern undergoing short-term operation,with rapid effective,less dosage,less adverse effects and stable hemodynamics.It can be a good method in childern anesthesia,but the emergence from anesthesia will be a little delay.
