Walking is the most common human movement, but it contains a great deal of information on the human body system.Gait analysis plays an important role in understanding the control mechanism of normal gait, but it also provides an effective evidence for both diagnosis and evaluation of the abnormal gait patterns.Joint kinetic parameters, more specifically joint moments and power, could provide information which other gait parameters will not reflect, such as the relationship of joints and limbs,as well as the changes in muscle strength.Based on the current research status that there is no joint kinetic research in domestic, kinetic parameters were then calculated and the 3-dimensional joint moments and power profiles were derived from 9 young adults. The conclusions are following:(1) The computational process of joint kinetic parameters with the existing technology is relatively complex. The force platform and video data were subject to a series of operations, including filtering, interpolation, coordinate system transformation, and synchronization,so that the joint moments and power data could be derived.(2) The joint moment profile in the sagital and frontal planes were generally consistent with related research, with the exception of peak values.(3) Compared with other related research results, there was significant difference with the joint moment pattern in the transverse plane, which was mainly caused by the low sampling frequency of the experiment instrumentation.(4) The characteristic of joint power profiles were in general agreement with other investigators, with the exception of smaller Kp1 and Kp2 values.
