Objective:1.To explore whether follicles in situ ovaries and in grafts influence each other in growth and development.2.To discuss whether FSH could be a useful value for indication of ovarian transplantation.Methods:1.The authors designed the experiment to investigate the simultaneous ovary remained in adult female SD rats whether to affect or to be affected by grafted fetal ovarian tissue after subcutaneously allografting fetal ovarian tissue into recipients that had received ovariectomizing operation unilaterally and bilaterally respectively.2.To investigate the relationship between FSH in Recipients and the resumption of endocrine function according to E2 and subsequent graft growth and development after transplantation.Results:1.Population mean of corepus luteum in situ ovaries of hosts with transplanting after had removed one ovary of its own is higher, compared both with in situ ovaries of normal control and without transplanting after unilaterally oophorotomy, the differences between different groups are significant(14.25±3.40 vs. 6.00±2.45,7.00±3.16,F=11.611,P=0.001).Primordial follicle in grafts of hosts with transplanting after had removed all two ovaries of its own, could grow and develop at all phases of follicles.Whereas in grafts of which with transplanting after had removed one ovary of its own stopped continuing development,or getting fibrosis even being absorbed.2.Graft in recipients that retained one of in situ ovaries growed poorly with normal FSH and E2(P>0.05);in contrast,in the other recipients with raised FSH(F=44.160,P<0.05) resumed their regular estrous cycle growing better like the native and its E2 increase to normal(P>0.05).Conclusions:1.Follicles in situ ovaries and in grafts can compete dominance with each other in growth and development.Follicles in situ ovaries of recipients evidently have more advantages than follicles in grafts.2.Graft in higher FSH(0.44±0.04 IU/L) recipients could grow and develop better.Clinical FSH value might play some roles in the guidances with ovarian transplantation indication.
