Evaluation Of Impact Factors On Medical Risk In Military Hospitals

Medical care takes on the character of high riskiness,which is determined by the particularity of the served objects,the non-prediction of the outcomes and the conditionality of the technologies.Under the current medical conditions of our country,setting up mechanisms for guarding against and dissolving the risks appears to be badly needed.The aim of this study is to,by analyzing and evaluating the various kinds of impact factors on medical risks in military hospitals,realize the current status of medical risks and find out the risks in the medical service so as to establish measures for preventing them,reduce the waste of health resources and insure the safety of patients.Managers in charge of medical affairs,doctors and nurses,and inpatients were separately investigated with questionnaires about impact factors of medical risks.After the questionnaires are reclaimed,we build the corresponding database with Excel,analyze the datas with SAS and discuss the four kinds of impact factors—medical workers,patients,medical system and society.First,problems of the 50 military hospitals in medical administration are as follows.41 hospitals do not establish integrated departments or not arrange proper personnel with the function of managing medical risk.Only 15 hospitals constitute voluntarily error-noted regulations,and furthermore,the effect of the regulations is not good.26 hospitals train their pesonnels about the juristical knowledge only 1 per year and 32 hospitals have never educated their patients about medical risk.31 hospitals have the trouble of the number of the medical workers and beds being unadapted to the needs of patients and of beds being shifted too quickly.42 hospitals do not purchase medical duty insurance.Second,the outcomes for the datas about the doctors and nurses through Spearman correlation and Logistic regression analyzing are as follows.If the doctors and nursers work more easily,are more satifactory to their work,view doctor-patient relationship as ethic relationship and believe medical workers should take the main charge for the medical disputes,they will be accused less.If the doctors and nursers are less familiar with the juristical knowledge,their duties and patients' rights,and view doctor-patient relationship as bring-and-buy relationship,they will be accused more.Third,the outcomes for the datas about the inpatients through Logistic regression analyzing are as follows.If the inpatients get more household average income per month,are under the worse impression on medical care,have less confidence in medical workers,consider the effect of the treatment worse and blame the complications on medical workers,they will accuse more.If the inpatients consider the level of the hospital lower,are less familiar with their diseases and do not lay perfect wish on the effect of the treatment,they will accuse less.Fourth,the problems in the medical system and society are as follow.The distribution of the health resource lacks equality,the juristical system is not applicable to the medical affairs,the charging for the medical service is not clear, the government do not put enough money on the health enterprise and the media boost the medical disputes.According to the outcomes above,we give the countermeasures and suggestions on avoiding medical risk.The hospitals should establish integrated departments with the function of managing medical risk,constitute regulations for managing medical risk,intensify the training for the medical workers,strengthen the medical quality management and consummate the reparing ways of dealing with medical risk.The government should seek different ways to increase money on the health enterprise,quicken the step of the health reform and constitute laws applicable for solving the medical affairs,supervise the media's reporting on medical disputes and make the education about sincerity and faith more popular.
