AIMTo investigate the changes of quality of life(QOL) for patients with angina pectoris after percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI).The aim was to find influence factors to quality of life after PCI and to promote the quality of life for those patients through some kinds nursing intervention.METHOD115 patients, who had been proved as angina pectoris, undergoing coronary angiography and placed stents voluntarily, were selected from one general hospitals of Harbin,Heilongjiang Province. The Seattle Angina Questionnaire(SAQ)and self-developed questionnaire were administered within 24 hours, and 1 month,3 months later after PCI.The always of face to face was used when the researcher asked contents of questionnaire from patients within 24 hours in hospital, and telephone follow-ups were used 1 month,3 months later after PCI.10.0 version of SPSS software was used in this research. The analysis of variance of repeated measurement data was used comparing the differences of QOL in different times, and LSD was used comparing the differences among three means, and Logistic regression was used to analyze if the factors, such as gender, age, profession, education level, smoking, drinking, blood pressure, blood lipid, blood glucose etal, influencing the QOL before and after PCI.RESULTS(1)SAQ scores in total and five categories increased significantly 1 month and 3 months after PCI(P<0.01) compared with before. But there was no difference between 1 month SAQ score and 3 month SAQ score after PCI(P>0.05).In five categories, SAQ scores of anginal stability, anginal frequency, physical limitation improved greatly.(2)There were 105 patients(percent 91.3) whose QOL improved 1 months after PCI,which was lower than the number(107,percent 93) of 3 months after PCI, however, there was no significant differences(P>0.05).(3)The results of 19 items of SAQ showed there was significant improvement of total score of SAQ,but the improvement of 19 items was no equalization, and the better were anginal stability, the satisfaction degree toward therapy, and the worse were boredom toward drug taking, satisfaction degree of doctor's interpretation and the degree of subjective sensation.(4) It was found that gender, alcohol and cholesterol level were the obvious factors affecting SAQ scores after PCI.Gender and alcohol were related to SAQ scores before PCI,while gender and cholesterol level were related to SAQ scores after PCI.CONCLUSIONSPCI treatment could be an effective method to promote quality of life in patients with angina pectoris. However, the degree of promotion were different in all aspects of SAQ.Gender influenced to quality of life of patients in before and after PCI,that was, the quality of life of female was better than male in before PCI,and on the contrary in after PCI;Alcohol influenced to quality of life of patients in before PCI,that was,the quality of life little alcohol was better than never alcohol, and proper amount can promote the quality of life;Cholesterol level were the variable factors that obvious influenced to quality of life outcomes for the patients in after PCI,and the promotion of quality of life in patients with normal LDL were better than the patients with abnormal.
