ObjectiveTo estimate the risk factors and protective factors of ovarian cancer, and to provide proof for preventing against ovarian cancer. Methods and MaterialsThe cases are selected from Liaoning Tumor Hospital between 2007 July to 2009 February. The number of patients who have been diagnosed as ovarian cancer is 243.The control came from the same hospital, who have been diagnosed as non-malignant tumor, the number of which is 270.Investigate the case histories of the case and the control with the investigated questionnaires. The main factors we want to investigate are the general state of health, the history of past illness, the marriage menstruation and childbearing history, family medical history, personal history etc. Have a single factor non-condition Logistic regression analysis and a multiple factor non-condition Logistic regression analysis of the data we have obtained.ResultsCompare the distribution of age, nation, engagement between the two groups, and observe whether they are significant. The differentces of age(x~2=7.407,P>0.05),nation (x~2=2.815,P>0.05),enganement(x~2=3.258,P>0.05) between the two groups are not of significance. The single factor analysis indicates that algomenorrhea, menarche age, menstruation, the number of total pregnancy and the number of spontaneous abortion, the number of induced abortion are relevant to ovarian cancer. With the multiplicity, the factors enter the principal effect are:the number of spontaneous abortion, the number of induced abortion and menstruation. The OR value and 95%CI are 0.252(0.100-0.636),4.199(2.710-6.504),3.525(2.252-5.519),respectively.ConclusionThe number of spontaneous abortion(≥1) is the protective factor of ovarian cancer. The number of induced abortion(≥1) and menstruation(≤4d) are the risk factors of ovarian cancer.Ovarian cancer is multifactorial.
