Objective To study the mechanism of chronic persistent HBV infection transmited by consanguinity, this article preliminarily researched the relevance of HBV pre-s1 antigen and chronic HBV infection transmited by consanguinity. Methods Samples of 202 patients with chronic HBV infection in the infectious diseases department of The First Affiliated,College of Medicine Zhejiang University.were tested in this study for pre-s1 antigen(IFMA method);Backgrounds of families were investigated for all these patients;Meanwhile, these samples were tested for HBV DNA,HBsAg,HBeAg,anti-Hbe antibody,anti-HBc antibody, alanine transferase and aspartate transferase. Results Of 178 cases, which had transmited by consanguinity definitively,pre-s1 was found positive 115 cases(64.64%),while Of 24 cases, which hadn't transmited by consanguinity definitively,pre-s1 was found positive only 8 cases(33.33%),the two group have significant difference(P=0.006,P<0.05 );Of the 154 HBV DNA-positive cases,pre-s1 antigen-postive patients had 93 cases(60.39%),while pre-s1 antigen-negative patients had 61 cases(39.61%),the two group have no significant difference(P=0.866,P>0.05 );Of the 123 pre-s1 antigen-postive cases,HBeAg-postive patients had 63 cases(51.22%),while HBeAg-negative patients had 60 cases(48.78%),the two group have no significant difference(P=0.605,P>0.05 );Of 177 abnormal tranferase cases,pre-s1 antigen-postive patients had 101 cases(57.06%),pre-s1 antigen-negative cases had 76 cases(42.94%),the two group have significant difference(P=0.004,P<0.05).Conclusions Pre-s1 antigen has obvious correlation with chronic HBV infection transmited by consanguinity,it has relevance with hepatitis activity as well.
