To observe the early change of microglia and its relationship with neuron in forebrain of Kanic Acid (KA)-induced seizure in rats, we investigate the expression of OX-42 and Fos protein in forbrain to show the time course by means of the single-labeled immunohistochemical staining method. And the double-labeled immunohistochemical staining with OX-42 and Fos show the relation of OX-42 positive cells and Fos positive cells. In result, the expression of OX-42 in the early stage from 15min to 360min of seizure is positive. OX-42-like immunoreactivity is increased, then decreased and then disappeared120min>360min>60min>30min>15min The expression of Fos protein is positive in neuron and microglia, Fos-like immunoreactivity is increased, then decreased and then disappeared too; But Fos immunoreactive microglia dissapears earlier than Fos immunoreactive neuron; Fos immunoreactive neuron of each group close together were counted; The t value was statistic with SPSSversion 13.0 (p<0.01). OX-42 immunoreactive microglia and Fos immunoreactive neuron mostly distribute in cerebral cortex, hippocampus, amygdaloid nucleus and so on. The present results indicated that the microglia together with the neuron may involved in the early change of seizure...
