Objective: To improve the experience of diagnosis,To study the surgical treatment of ureteral polyps.Methods: The clinical date of 18 patients with ureteral polyps admitted in our hospital were analysed retrospectively. 18 cases were treated surgically. 12 cases for ureteroscopic for resection of the polyp,2 cases for nephroureterectomy,1 case performed Partial ureterectomy including the polyps and pyeloplasty ,2 cases for complete segmental resection and reanastomosis , 1 case for nephroureterectomy with a cuff of bladder.Results:Colicky pain, Hematuria are the most common symptoms of ureteral polyps.The patients had been followed up for from three month to six month postoperatively.15 cases with satisfactory results, preserving the renal function. No one case ureteral structure, and so on.Conclusion: The most etiology of FEP is developmental defects。Calculus,trauma, infection, hormonal imbalance and allergic factors have all been proposed for inflammatory polyp.A correct choice of the surgical approach should be decided by the lesion size,numbers,position and loss degree of renal unit function ,and so on. Ureteroscopic for resection of the polyp is the gold standard of surgical treatment for ureteral polyps. The ureteral polyp was easy to develop cancerization in old men,it is careful for diagnosis and treatment.
