Cushing Syndrome is the disease caused by a variety of causes of excessive secretion of adrenal glucocorticoids (mainly cortisol hormone). A great deal of cortisol could lead to the bone loss, osteoporosis and even fractures. Sometimes pathological fracture is the first symptom of patients with Cushing syndrome which masking other symptoms. A part of clinicians misdiagnose those Cushing syndrome patients as simple fractures and exclusively therapy fractures, so that delay the diagnosis and treatment of primary diseases. In this article, author summary in patients with Cushing syndrome clinical data, laboratory tests, imaging and pathological analysis of the information in our hospital for near seven years and review related literature reports about Cushing syndrome and osteoporosis / fractures, in order to improve on the performance of fracture as the first awareness of Cushing syndrome and to reduce the misdiagnosis rate.
