Clinical Analysis Of 15 Epileptic Children Associated With Allergy

Objective:Investigating the relationship with epileptic seizures and allergy, searching,the therapeutic regimen and providing some evidences to the pathogenesy of epilepsy.Methods:We retrospectively studied 15 clinic cases diagnosed epilepsy linked to allergy in the pediatric department of neurology.The epileptic seizures were provoked and associated with allergy, or two symptoms emerged in succession during 2 weeks,named"associated-bout".All the clinic data were analyzed with SPSS 13.0.Results: 15 patients were of a certain age of onset,a tendency of male and the abnormal activities of the autonomic nerves and diencephalon as well as classic seizures.After regularly taking medicine of anti-epileptic drugs,the most of the patients'symptoms of epilepsy and allergy have been controlled, and catabatic degrees of the allergy had a significant positive correlation(r＝0.954,P＜0.01).Conclusions:Epilepsy and allergy have been interactive with each other in our study.The autonomic nerves and diencephalon may be of anatomical bases.
