Objective:To obsever the effects of pentazocine and propofol on hemodynamics to induction of general anesthesia in the elderly, and evaluate the feasibility of pentazocine used in anesthesia.Methods:40 ASA gradeⅠ~Ⅱelder patients(age60~75) scheduled for sugery were divided into two groups randomly,20 cases each, fentanyl group(group F) and pentazocine group (group P).Every patient was treated with scopolamine 0.3mg and midazolam 0.05mg/kg before the surgery.Anesthesia was induced with fentanyl 3μg/kg,propofol 2mg/kg,atracuium 0.15mg/kg in group F and with pentazocine 0.8mg/kg,propofol 2mg/kg,atracuium 0.15mg/kg in group P.Tracheal intubation mechanical ventilation.SBP,DBP,MAP,HR were monitored before and after induction,0,1,3,5 rain after intubations. Results:There were no differences in the patient background among two groups.MAP and HR decreased significantly after induction in group F,and there were differences between group F and group P(P<0.05).There were no differences between the two group in other times. Conclusions:Both fentanyl and pentazocine with propofol effectively inhibit the stress response during induction of general anesthesia,at the same time,pentazocine(0.8mg/kg) would provide a stable hemodynamic state and pentazocine can use during induction of general anesthesia in elder patients.
