The Therapeutic Effect Of Duanteng Scorpion On Treating Rheumatoid Arthrittis

Objective:To investigate the efficacy and safety of Duanteng scorpion on Treating Rheumatoid Arthrittis.Method:Choose eighty examples which accord with standardment of RA, divide them into two groups randomly.Therapy group treated by Duanteng scorpion,a dose one day,treat for three months;control group treated by duanteng,a dose one day,treat for three months.To observe the clinical symptoms such as tender joint number,tender joint count,swollen joint number,swollen joint count,morning stiffness,grip strength,patient global assessment and HAQ after four weeks,eight weeks,twelwe weeks;to observe the lab result such as the RF,CRP,ESR after twelwe weeks treatment;to monitor blood routine,the function of liver and kidney;to record the adverse reaction occurrenc.Resule:Therapy group:After four weeks treatment,compared to the original level,tender joint number,tender joint count,swollen joint count,morning stiffness,patient global assessment and HAQ were improved significantly(P＜0.05);swollen joint and grip strength were not improved significantly(P＞0.05).After eight weeks and twelve weeks treatment,compared to the original level,tender joint number,tender joint count,swollen joint number,swollen joint count,morning stiffness,grip strength,patient global assessment and HAQ were improved significantly(P＜0.05).Control group:After four weeks treatment,compared to the original level,tender joint number,tender joint count swollen joint countand patient global assessment were improved significantly(P＜0.05);swollen joint number,morning stiffness,grip strength and HAQ were not improved significantly(P＞0.05). After eight weeks and twelve weeks treatment,compared to the original level, tender joint number,tender joint count,swollen joint number,swollen joint count,morning stiffness,grip strength,patient global assessment and HAQ were improved significantly(P＜0.05).Therapy group VS control group:After eight weeks treatment,there was difference in ender joint number,tender joint count,swollen joint number,swollen joint count and HAQ between them(P＜0.05). After twelve weeks treatment,there was difference in swollen joint number,swollen joint count between them(P＜0.05).After twelve weeks treatment,compared to original level,the RF,CRP and ESR were improved significantly in both groups(P＜0.05).The CRP of therapy group was improved significantly than control group(P＜0.05).After twelve weeks treatment,compared to original level,the DAS28 was improved significantly in both groups(P＜0.05).The therapy group was improved significantly than control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,in the herapy group,nausea and disturbance of gastrointestinal tract were reported in 4 patients,ALT and AST elevation was rePorted in 3 patients,prolonged menstruation and menopause was reported in 5 patient.In the control group nausea and disturbance of gastrointestinal tract were reported in 3 patients,ALT and AST elevation was rePorted in 3 patients,prolonged menstruation and menopause was reported in 5 patient.Conclusion:The Duanteng scorpion was better than the duanteng in inflammation and relieve pain.And the adverse reaction occurrenc was no difference between the two groups.
