Colorectal cancer is one of the most common and the most malignant tumors in the world. In European and North America, it is the second in the incidence of malignant tumor. In our country, almost 130,000 new cases of colorectal cancer occur every year. The growing rate of incidence, which reaches 4%, is growing faster in China than that of the average rate in the world. In the past, the average age of the patient is from 40 to 50 years old, and now the patients become younger than ever.Lacking specific symptoms and signs in early stage of colorectal cancer, which makes it difficult to diagnose in early stage. When hematochezia or intestinal obstruction occurs, it already comes to advanced stage and is difficult to treat. Another feature of this disease is that metastasis is very common. Liver, lung, brain and etc are the common target ogans. Liver metastasis is the most common metastasis type and is found in about 25% patient when their diagnosis is firstly established. In another 25% patients liver metastasis is found during or after the treatment. Liver metastasis makes it very hard to treat and indicates bad outcomes of the patients. The research on liver metastasis concludes two aspects. One is on the surgery resection, the other is on the chemotherapy of new drugs. But we still have not got much satisfactory achievements. As known to all. not every type of colorectal tumor will develop metastasis. Weather or not to metastasize to other ogans and the time of metastasis relies on the tumor's biological specialty. So if we can find out the biological difference between normal tumor cells and the specific cells which have the high potential to metastasize, we make it possible to find out the mechanism of tumor metastasis and find out the right way to prevent or treat tumor metastasis. For the individual, it helps to select the right treatment and evaluate the prognosis. Our study aims to make comparison between the high and the low metastatic colorectal cancer cells (C26 type) in mice, so as to provide theoretical basis for both the systematic study on its metastatic mechanism and the clinical treatment of colorectal cancer.
