Object:To observe how splenic artery arranges, distributes and relation to pancreas on 64-slices CT artery contribution. By contribute the stem of splenic artery, it is easier to observe the location of peripheral tissues. By such methods, the research provides anatomical data for pancreas surgery, spleen surgery and laparoscopic surgery.Methods:To pick up 50 healthy adults, 31 male and 19 female. The average age is 49 (21~74 ages), the average weight is 55 kg(43~72 kg). Having a CT scan in China-Japan Union Hospital, Jilin University and apart tumors and some other diseases, the research contributes all the CT images and gets the splenic artery images. All the images are post-process by Adw4.3 software, so it is easy to observe arrange, distribute and correlation of the artery. All the data is analysis by SPSS11.5.Results:1,The anatomy and clinical application of splenic artery The result of 10.6~12.5cm is smaller than reported and the research found the female artery is narrower and more variation than male. In the images, the big branches and their distribution area is clear to observe. They are pancreatic branches, dorsal pancreatic artery, left gastroepiploic artery, caudal pancreatic artery. Normally, there are 2~3 curves during the course of the artery. In part of the cases, the artery lines smoothly and without obvious curves. But there is no clear relation between the artery courses and the sex and age.2,The terminal branch pattern and characteristics of splenic arteryThe terminal branches pattern is concentration pattern, which takes a larger part, and dispersion pattern. The majority first splenic lobar arteries have two branches. It is difficult to observe on CTA images that the further branches are too small.3,The correlation of the arrangement of artery and pancreas The general arrange of splenic artery is starting from superior to pancreas and lining inferior and posterior. So, the proximal 1/4 part is superior to the pancreas, the medial 2/4 part is posterior or within the pancreas and the distal 1/4 part is posterior to the pancreas. Such, it is complex to deal with the correlation of the distal of the artery, the pancreatic tail, the hilus of spleen in surgery.Conclusion:1,The arrangement of the stem of splenic artery is irregular. It is complex to deal with the correlation of the distal of the artery, the pancreatic tail, the hilus of spleen. In surgeries and LS, it is important to deal with the topography of the artery.2,The terminal branch pattern of splenic artery is he basis of splenic artery embolization and partial splenectomy. However, it remains non-ideal to observe it by CTA.3,It is easy for VR to contribute the stem and big branches, and beautiful present the correlation and topography of the structures. But it is on need to set the CT value manually so as to non-ideal to observe the vascular stenosis degree.
