PET/CT as an advanced medical imaging technique, which combines anatomical imaging and functional imaging, is on rapidly development, and also has been acknowledged. PET, the full name of which is positron emission tomography, can provide the functional information of organism. Based on different tissue has different absorptivtity for X-ray, CT makes a transmission scan. Therefore, it can provide anatomical information of organism.Now, PET/CT technique plays an important role in cancer diagnosis, and its ability to make sure the state of lung cancer has been widely agreed in medicinal academe. However, because of several physical factors existing, the quality of PET/CT thorax imaging is far from perfect statement. So, research on physical factors will be important for improving the quality of thorax imaging and also for improving the PET/CT technique.In this thesis, we design the software platform for X-CT parallel beam image reconstruction and platform for PET/CT attenuation correction. These platforms have been used on PET/CT image reconstruction without statistical noise, and also have been used on research of average affection by breathing in PET/CT physical factors. In order to make the platform close to the actual situation, we have added the statistical noise to the CT transmission data and PET emission data for the research of CT and PET image reconstruction with statistical noise, and also apply on the research of average affection by breathing with statistical noise.The platform for PET/CT attenuation correction includes X-CT image reconstruction, PET image reconstruction, CT-based attenuation correction in PET image reconstruction. CT-based attenuation correction in PET image reconstruction is the joint of another two modules, and it is the kernel module of PET/CT attenuation correction.Average affection by breathing in PET/CT physical factors is one of the important factors which affecting thorax image quality. The thesis has made a simulation for lung breathing motions, and analyzed the affection and bad impulsion of PET/CT thorax image quality for average affection. As a primary research on average affection by breathing in PET/CT physical factors, this thesis makes an elementary platform for subsequent researchers.
