Discuss The Correlation Between Age-related Macular Degeneration And Hyperopia

Objective: To discuss the correlation between age-related macular Degeneration (AMD) and Hyperopia,in order to Provide clinical and research data for the prevention and treatment of AMD. Method: Clinical-investigation methods were taked,31 patients conforming to the criterion of AMD were observed,clinical data was Statistically and analysisly,further discussing the correlation between age-related macular degeneration and Hyperopia. Result: 1.By the statistical analysis of data,these results were obtained:①In first place is the type of Liver-kidney yin deficiency,In second place is the type of Spleen deficiency folder sputum,wet folder,folder Stasis.②The primary symptoms and signs of patients with AMD according to the Frequency statistics were following in turn:xerostomia(90.32%),dizziness tinnitus(70.97%),eye dryness(54.84%),sore eyes(51.61%),waist-Leg pain(51.61%),insomnia(48.39%). 2.According to case-control analysis,it is a clear relationship between the occurrence of AMD and Hyperopia history(OR≥2).Conclusion: It is a clear relationship between the occurrence of age-related macular Degeneration and Hyperopia history in regard of both the theory of Chinese medicine and western medicine.
