Clinic And Foundational Research On Denlinx Tooth Whitening System With Kinds Of Discoloration Teeth

The discoloration of teeth is very common in clinic. Great progress has been made in night guard vital bleaching (NGVB) technique in the past 100 years especially in the recent decade. Tooth Whitening system is favored by both dentists and patients because it can eliminate tooth surface coloration and improve the color of tooth without doing harm to the tooth itself.In Tooth Whitening system, high strength blue light is conveyed by optical fiber. Harmful ultraviolet rays and infrared rays are all eliminated. Bleach on the tooth surface could causes the redox of pigment that deposite in the tooth surface and in-depth by penetrating enamel of tooth and the tooth essence acorn tube .Then the tooth can be bleached. But the clinical operation time of Denlinx Tooth Whitening system is quite different in dentists. Is there an effective way which can both save time and satisfy patients? This experiment evaluates the bleaching effect of Denlinx Tooth Whitening system with different exposure time in different discoloration of teeth. It also investigates the character of enamel surface and its bond strength with resin in teeth changed in color with age, mild dental fluorosis in different time after bleaching. The results provide the basis to the best time of exposure and repairing with composite resin on the different discoloration of teeeh.The main findings of this study were as follows:1. The best course of treatment on teeth changed in color with age, mild dental fluorosis, between moderate and severe dental fluorosis is two times. Good effect can be also got after mild tetracycline stained teeth treated by Denlinx Tooth Whitening system three times or after between moderate and severe tetracycline stained teeth treated four times, but the effect does not reach what patients expect.2. Different kinds of discoloration teeth are all treated by Denlinx Tooth Whitening system: The instant electron microscope scan result shows that wild area of enamel surface on normal teeth are dissolved like scales of fish phenomenon after bleaching. There isn't obvious difference between the teeth without treatment and 7 days, 14 days, 21 days after treatment. The instant electron microscope scan result of mild dental fluorosis shows that there is local mild demineralization and some concaves on the surface of enamel. The surface of enamel is dissolved and demineralized obviously. As a result of that, the surface of enamel becomes rough and some tiny pores form. There isn't demineralization phenomenon on the surface of enamel 14 days and 21 days after treatment. The result of moderate and severe dental fluorosis shows that there is like etching phenomenon on the surface of enamel and obvious demineralization phenomenon can be seen. There is demineralization and dispersed tiny pores after 7 days local mild demineralization and a few tiny pores after 14 days, and the surface become rough and nicks can be seen after 21days.3. After different kinds of discoloration teeth treated by Denlinx Tooth Whitening system, instant spectrum analysis results show that the Ca/P contents of teeth changed in color with age,mild dental fluorosis,between moderate and severe dental fluorosis are all much higher than that of teeth without treatment. It indicates that there is obvious demineralization on enamel after the treatment. The Ca/P content of teeth one week later isn't quite different from that of teeth without treatment. It indicates that remineralization of enamel takes place.4. After different kinds of discoloration teeth treated by Denlinx Tooth Whitening system, instant enamel surface microhardness tests show that enamel surface microhardness of teeth changed in color with age, mild dental fluorosis, between moderate and severe dental fluorosis is lower than that of teeth before treatment. And it can recover to the latter level after 7 days.5. Results show that Micro-tensile bond strength of teeth changed in color with age,mild dental fluorosis,between moderate and severe dental fluorosis is obvious lower than that of teeth before treatment and it can recover to the latter level after 7 days.
