| Objective: Our study was designed to improve the understanding of RA, in order to undertake pointed and effective treatment.Methods: Retrospective analyze of clinical features of 224 patients, who suffered from RA, in our hospital in the last two years. The following factors were analyzed in our study: clinical features and prognosis of RA with impairment of joints, lung, as well as RA complicated with SS ; lab data of RA and SS; the results of CT of lung,parotid gland opacification,cornea dihydroxyfluorane dying.Result: RA is subdivided into four main types according to the clinical features. The feature of pauciarticular is that RA involves in no more three joints, with no complication and other systems involved. The feature of polyarticular is that RA involve:; in more than three joints, with no complication and other systems involved. respiratory system involvement means that RA involves in respiratory system. RA-SS means that RA complicates with SS. There are also other types when RA involves in other systems, or RA complicates with CTD such as SLE , SSc, inflammatory myopathies and etc. We will not discuss them in our study.Conclusion: These four types vary in their features of age, sex, age of onset, the onset joint, clinical manifestation, and prognosis. pauciarticular usually involves large joints, with mild symptoms, and the symptoms are easy to control. polyarticular involves big joints and small joints all over the body. It usually starts with systematic small joints, and the joints are destroyed soon. However, this condition usually can be controlled through treatment. Male-Female ratio of respiratory system involvement increases obviously, which reaches about 1:2. The course of disease is relatively short, and symptoms of respiratory system usually follow that of systems of RA. They are in active stage. Few male suffer from RA-SS, dryness of mouth and eyes often show up during the active stage of RA. SSA and SSB of some patients are negative.
