Intracavitary Therapy To Carotid Artery Stenosis Of 41 Cases

ObjectiveInvestigate the method and therapeutic effect of endovascular treatment for carotid artery stenosis .MethodThe 41 patients with clinical appearance have been checked by color Doppler ultrasound,carotid artery CTA and DSA cerebral angiography. First, assess the aortic arch,bilateral carotid artery,cerebrovascular by angiography,then insert guiding catheter ,put the cerebral protection devices in,release and expand,insert the stent and recover protection device, observe the therapeutic effect.ResultOperations were all successful,the cerebral protection devices were well recovered, small lipid particles were found in 21 cases, small debris were found in 13 cases,and TIA attacked during operation in one case.They eased after the drug treatment and clinical symptoms were greately relieved.Conclusionthe endovascular treatment of carotid artery stenosis under cerebral protection devices is a minimally invasive, safe and effective method.
