Bergamot of Rutaceae plants is a traditional valuable medicine with a long history of medicinal.Bergamot is acrid and sour in flavor,bitter in taste,warm in nature.It is often used in easing hepatic depression,reducing stomach problems, dehygrosis,dissipating phlegm,improving the anti-stress ability.It is widely used in clinical application,such as hepatic depression,chest and hypochondrium, painful abdominal mass of gastric cavity and eating less with vomiting.The domestic and international research of bergamot mainly includes bergamot cultivation and management,volatile oil and pharmacologic action.But system research for chemical constituents of Sichuan bergamot has not been reported yet.The experiment intends to analysis the Sichuan bergamot's chemical constituents through separation,identification and screening of biological activity, so we can understand the substance of its pharmic effect,identify the potential value.Twelve compounds were isolated and purified by chromatography with silica gel column and nine compounds were identified by spectral analysis a -s 5,7-dimethoxycoumarin,6,7-dimethoxycoumarin,7-hydroxy-6-methoxycoum -arin,5-methoxyfurfural,3,4-dihydroxy-7-methoxycoumarin,10-eicosene,3,6-d -odecadien,decane,tetradecane,docosane.All compounds were isolated from this plant for the first time.
