Background:Fungal infections in hospitals is one of the important pathogens,Airborne fungus are the result of an important way to infection, and health care workers were infected with the fungus opportunities. Atmospheric lead to allergic sensitization fungal disease is the most important one of the factors. So it is necessary to carry out research airborne fungi in the special hospital environment to guide clinical study of hospital infection, and allergic disease control allergic diseases and provide a reliable basis. So it is very important to determine the hospital airborne fungi.Objective:1.To supervise the airborne fungal concentration and species distribution in ward of a certain Hospital of Lan Zhou,in order to provide a reference for the prevention and treatment of the fungal infection in hospital.2.To discuss the flora advantage in the hospital.Methods:1.Data from 1 Sep 2007 to 30 Oct 2007 were collected from therapeutic department, corridor, duty room, public ward and intensive care unit(ICU),respectively in the department of pediatrics, the pneumology department and the hematology specialty.2.Sand castle in the medium used in incubators training.3.Training conducted by small isolation and species of fungi. Results:The airborne fungal concentration was 263.43±184.86,72.74±33.22,101.24±57.80 CFU/m~3 at the department of pediatrics, the pneumology department and the hematology specialty, respectively. The most prevalent fungi collected from the department of pediatrics were Aspregilus spp,Cladosporium spp,Penicillium spp, Arthrinium spp,Rhodotorula spp in turn. The most prevalent fungi collected from the Pneumology Department were Cladosporium spp,Penieillium spp,Aragaki spp,Geotrichum capitatum spp in turn. The most prevalent fungi collected from the hematology specialty were Penicillium spp, Aspregilus spp,Cladosporium spp,Geotrichum capitatum spp,Arthrinium spp in turn. There was significant difference on the airborne fungal concentration before and after sterilizing(P<0.05).Conclusions:1.The most prevalent fungi collected from the hospital were Aspregilus spp(31%),Cladosporium spp(23%),Penicillium spp (18%),Arthriniumspp(6%),Geotrichum capitatum spp(4%).2.The most prevalent fungi collected from the department of pediatrics were Aspregilus spp,Cladosporium spp,Penicillium spp,Arthrinium spp,Rhodotorula spp in turn. The most prevalent fungi collected from the Pneumology Department were Cladosporium spp,Penicillium spp,Aragaki spp, Geotrichum capitatum spp in turn. The most prevalent fungi collected from the hematology specialty were Penicillium spp,Aspregilus spp, Cladosporium spp,Geotrichum capitatum spp,Arthrinium spp in turn.3.It demonstrated the fungi are found in the air of the hospital,we should strengthen management control system of sterilization.
